Main facts
Altran's presence in Germany since 1996 and in Austria since 1999 has above all been marked by growth and diversification. Initially with just 90 employees, development in the region started out with projects in sectors such as the automotive industry, satellite technology and construction. In 2009, Altran's former German subsidiaries, namely ASKON ConsultingGroup, BERATA, EUROSPACE and ALTRAN CIS, were merged to form Altran GmbH & Co. KG. In Germany, there are now 1,050 employees working in either Technology and Innovation Consulting or Organisation & Information System Consulting. Altran Österreich GmbH currently employs around 50 members of staff working in Organisation & Information System Consulting.
By transferring not only technology, but also the skills and motivation of our team members, Altran is now in a position to offer comprehensive consulting services and establish close partnerships right across all phases of the innovation and project life cycle.
In Germany, where Altran is present in 10 locations, the company generates annual turnover of 125 million euros (2009 figures). Altran provides consulting services to a large number of well-known clients including Airbus, Audi, Bosch, BMW, Carl Zeiss, Continental, Porsche, Vodafone and Volkswagen.
Thanks to its international client base and relations, Altran in Germany and Austria now has a considerable role to play in the success of the Altran Group. Our goal is to assert and further extend our role as leader on German-speaking markets.
