Fonda_Visuel_carr___copy.gif“Reducing levels of CO2 in the atmosphere, our technological challenge!”
The Altran Foundation for Innovation theme this year will address the question of reducing the concentration of CO2 in our atmosphere. This international award is open to every Belgian and foreign project carrier striving to develop technologies linked to this theme, whether to predict and/or reduce emissions, reduce and/or repair the damages caused by emissions, or make society aware of these pressing issues. For more information: www.fondation-altran.org

An award with a human dimension:
For now 11 years the Altran Foundation for Innovation has allocated international annual prizes to a researcher or a project holder in the field of scientific innovation (energy, access to water, developing countries, early childhood, and scientific education, to name but a few).
The prize is unique: the winner benefits from one year of technological support and consultancy worth 1 million Euros. As such, the Foundation gives the laureate the opportunity to benefit from the support of Altran, European leader in Innovation Technology Consulting, and from the experience and the unique skills of the Altran Group’s 17 000 consultant-engineers.

22/11/07 - 27/11/07: Innova Energy Trade Fair

InnovaEnergy_Convention.jpgAltran is a gold partner of Innova Energy, the Belgian and international trade fair for Technological Innovation focused on Energy.

Dates: from 22 to 25 November 2007
Location : Brussels Expo - Hall 1 - Place de Belgique, 1 - 1020 Brussels
Subscriptions: www.innova-energy.com

On 22 November, Altran is organizing a great debate on how industry executives have been taking innovative environmental technologies from theory to practice: "Following the Innovation Path to a Low Carbon Economy, how CO2 influences today's executive decision-making." Do not miss this extraordinary encounter between personalities from the worlds of industry, finance, academia and Altran. They will be answering a crucial question: how do innovation and new technologies serve sustainable development? The answer to this question is elemental to the success of tomorrow’s companies. Low-carbon emission economies offer new opportunities for investment and vast potential for technological innovation:
- Is our economic model mutating? What models are we moving towards and at what speed? What are the conditions for success?
- CO2 quota negotiations, low- emission investments, research & development of new procedures, products, services, adaptation of the chain of logistics… How does the decision-making process articulate itself, towards what horizons?
- The train of carbon financing. What role will carbon financing play in tomorrow’s economy? How to take advantage of the available opportunities? For which types of investments?
The debate will launch the call for applications of the Altran Foundation for Innovation 2008 award: “Reducing levels of CO2 in the atmosphere, our technological challenge!”
