| Nathalie, what does a Global Account Manager (GAM) do? The GAM coordinates worldwide actions of the Altran Group subsidiaries (except ADL) towards our global clients. His goal is to optimize the use of Altran international strengths to answer efficiency, time and cost constraints of our clients. The GAM is in charge of the following missions : • Support the development of the business with the Customer at local and global levels • Coordinate the Altran Services portfolio offered by the Altran Subsidiaries • Ensure the Altran Brand recognition as a Global/International player • Facilitate the relations between all the key people involved (internal and client) How do you reach these goals? Following the trend of globalization, skills are scattered throughout local clusters in several regions of the world. To answer our global clients’ needs, the GAM relies on a network of Key Account Managers (KAMs) (organized by country, region and business line) and technical directors. We select and coordinate the strengths of the Group entities that have optimal characteristics to fulfill given projects. For example we recently enabled an automotive manufacturer to benefit from the expertise of our Parisian consultants for its engine development in Mercosur. The GAM programme capitalizes and transfers best practices not only within its client account but also to the other accounts and to the rest of the Group. It enhances feedback and collaboration related to technical offers and business practices. For instance, following the success of the offer “Outsourcing of test and validation of mobile handsets” for a phone operator, we deployed this offer in few months for the benefit of another operator. What does the GAM bring our clients in Central and Eastern Europe? It helps getting the mix of local and global skills right, which makes our assignments more efficient and ensures the sustainability of our teams, as well as fast optimal solutions. It speeds up the transfer of skills, which gives Central and Eastern Europe access to the international expertise of the whole of the Altran Group. Do you have an example? Indeed, we have delivered audits and improvement of quality standards for all subsidiaries of Siemens SVDO worldwide: USA, Mercosur, Czech Republic, and Korea... Other example, Renault has assigned Altran with the coordination of logistics for all its prototypes used to validate development phases through India, Mercosur, France and Romania. What do you like the most about Altran? I’ve been working in Altran for about 12 years and what I like the most is the entrepreneurial spirit, the open-mindedness and the enthusiasm of the Altran teams. More information |
