Friday June 15, 2007 - Altran contribution to the Consultation on Biofuel issues in the New Legislation on the Promotion of Renewable Energy

This document is part of the European-wide consultation process that supports the preparation of a new Energy Policy for Europe that includes new objectives such as a 20% target for the overall share of renewable energy in 2020 and a binding 10% target for the share of biofuels in petrol and diesel in each Member State in 2020.

This contribution presents more specifically the views of Altran on the ideal design of a biofuel sustainability system, the best way to monitor the overall effects on land use as well as on how to promote the use of second-generation biofuels.
