Altran India has been created as an Offshore Development Center, supporting Altran Group companies. It is though one of the main entities composing the Altran Global Sourcing strategy. Projects led by Altran India are initiated by Group companies with their clients. Each project is split between an "on-site" part (including client requirements analysis and specification, as well as project management) and an offshore part delivered by Altran India, under a fixed price model or on a time and material basis.

Altran India consultants may also be involved on "on site" projects requiring a particular level of expertise or management skills that they have. These missions are operated through Group companies (essentially in Europe) as these companies have the regular direct contact with the final client.
