| 1. You have a somewhat varied professional path. Yes. My previous job was that of business analyst at a large bank in the Netherlands. But I have a degree in chemical engineering from the Delft University of Technology. And now, I am a consultant in the field of renewable energy and alternative fuels for Altran Technologies Netherlands. 2. Your project is different from most since it also has to do with the consultancy support that Altran offers yearly to the winners of the Altran Foundation for Innovation competition. Yes. More precisely, I am project leader of the Altran Group support to the winning project of the Altran Foundation for Innovation 2006, the Maxxun project at the Eindhoven University of Technology. They developed a revolutionary solar energy device based on the Luminescent Solar Concentrator technology that will lower the price of the produced electricity by two. It gives me energy to be involved in such promising clean technology. 3. Furthermore, and like many other projects at Altran, this one allows you to travel to interesting destinations. I have made several trips to other Altran companies. Together with Arthur D. Little, I worked on more strategic work, also on sustainability related subjects: low carbon technologies. Recently I was in Germany for a European conference on hydrogen storage where I drove the brand new BMW 7 series on liquid hydrogen! 4. You seem very satisfied to have chosen Altran. Very much. Working at Altran has enabled me to learn about renewable energy, the energy market, hydrogen, alternative fuels, project management, business development and so much more. The best part is that I have learned about these things while working on the future of energy! 5. What do you think will be your next career steps? I would like to improve my business development skills and contribute to the growth of our activities in sustainable development. |
