Independent Safety Assessor and Notified Body accreditations
Altran has the following accreditations for independent assessment of rail systems:
- European Notified Body (NoBo) accredited to assess the interoperability and conformity of complex and novel signaling systems (ISO/IEC 17065)
- Designated Body (DeBo) for the assessment of conformity to UK notified national signaling standards (ISO/IEC 17065)
- Assessment Body (AsBo) for safety risk assessment as defined in the EU regulation on the Common Safety Method for Risk Evaluation and Assessment, covering Command, Control & Signaling, Rolling Stock and Traffic Management & Maintenance (ISO/IEC 17020)
- Independent Safety Assessor (ISA), actively providing services to customers worldwide who need to meet the ISA requirements of the CENELEC (European Committee for Electronic Standardization) railway standards (ISO/IEC 17020)
Expertise Center for train design
The railway expertise center is a partner to OEMs in mechanical and electrical design. Products are designed in accordance with technical and environmental standards for rolling stock. Projects are mainly implemented at Altran’s ADM4 level (full commitment of results and price), however the expertise center also provides direct technical assistance when required by the client.
Expertise Center for rail systems engineering
This expertise center has developed advanced test bench environments for automated verification and validation processes. Our clients benefit from an experienced team with deep knowledge in signaling standards (ERTMS, CBTC, etc.). We are currently developing a digital train concept in collaboration with our partner in the transportation industry.
