Altran brings its expertise in embedded electronic systems to the AUTOSAR consortium

AUTOSAR's key members, the major players in the global automotive industry, gather in Paris today for the consortium's 4th Open conference. Founded in 2003 for the purpose of developing standard automotive open-system software architecture, AUTOSAR has since become a permanent fixture in the automotive sector. As a Premium member of the consortium, Altran brings its expertise in embedded electronic systems and provides a comprehensive range of engineering solutions in the field of complex automotive systems integration.

AUTOSAR is an alliance of OEMs, as well as main automotive suppliers including BMW Group, Bosch, Continental, Daimler, Ford, General Motors, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Toyota and Volkswagen AG. One of the consortium's key priorities is to promote the development of innovative electronic systems, while monitoring costs and ensuring systems maintenance and upgrades throughout the life of the vehicle.

In this respect, Altran provides several key AUTOSAR related services, such as quality and release management of solutions developed by the consortium; a service which ensures the quality of AUTOSAR specifications and their related publications. Altran also provides technical management support geared to the smooth running of the different technical aspects inside the partnership, as well as AUTOSAR training modules designed specifically for any user of the AUTOSAR know-how in the realization of AUTOSAR compliant products.
