Cosimo De Carlo graduated in Computer Science Engineering from La Sapienza University in Rome and in Business Engineering from the Tor Vergata University in Rome. He joined Altran as a consultant in 2001, after acquiring 2 years of experience as a Research & Development Engineer at Daimler Chrysler AG in Germany.
As an Altran consultant, Cosimo De Carlo was involved in several aerospace and automotive projects in Italy and Germany. In 2005, he became a Business Manager at Altran Germany where he undertook a major acquisition for the Group in the automotive sector. He also opened a new office in the US for a strategic cooperation project set up by Altran and one of its main automotive customers.
In 2008, Cosimo De Carlo was appointed to the Management Board of a former Altran subsidiary, and following the merger of the Group’s German activities in 2009, he was put in charge of the automotive operations. In 2011, he was appointed AIT Industry Director for Germany, developing sales with key customers such as BMW, Daimler, Audi, Porsche, Bosch, Volkswagen…
A true international profile (he is fluent in Italian, German, English and French), Cosimo De Carlo will be in charge of the Group AIT Industry and drive the sustainable growth of Altran in the automotive sector at global level. He will steer the implementation of the strategic objectives of the Group in the automotive market and develop its recognition of Altran as outstanding value provider.
