  • COMPASS DMWS

The demo simulates a primary signalling fault on the model railway and then the COMPASS prototype will take control of the trains. Up to two visitors will be able to take the role of the train driver and follow the guidance from the COMPASS trainborne unit to safely guide the trains through the affected zone.

 

  • SPARKLE

Fully immersive virtual environment of a real factory where intelligent sensors (SenseForge) harvest data from different machines, performing analytics to detect status and failures. IoT platform (VueForge), collects information coming from IIS and SenseForge and then displayed on real time dash boarding in the virtual environment, allowing the capacity to deploy an early warning system through analytics at plant level. Virtual reality is used for training purpose (maintenance training) and as a remote control platform being able to move robotic arm in remote.

 

  • DIGITAL TWIN OF LARGEST SEA LOCK IN THE WORLD

A new large sea lock is being constructed at the entrance of the North Sea Canal at IJmuiden that will provide access to the Amsterdam port region. The new lock will be 500 metres long, 70 metres wide and 18 metres deep, making it the world’s largest sea lock. Construction began in January 2016 and the new lock will be available for shipping at the end of 2019. From then on, the port of Amsterdam will be accessible 24 hours a day. Altran supported the requirements and design phases of the project by building a digital twin lock including camera plan and lighting plan. The digital twin supports all operational open and close procedures, both nominal performance and fault scenario’s.

 

  • HYPERLOOP

Zeleros is developing with Altran a new mean of transport: the hyperloop. Connecting long distances at 1000 km/h and minimizing infrastructure costs is achieved by combining state-of-the-art levitation and propulsion technologies.

 

  • PRODUCT DESIGN VALIDATOR FOR VIRTUAL REALITY

This product design validator for virtual reality brings the advantage of configure and check different options without  the mock up and manufacturing costs. Using photorealistic finishes, companies can leverage design decisions ensuring every aspect impacting the final design (ergonomics, feasibility, …) has been tested in an almost-real environment. As an additional feature, multiplayer feature allows people using the application at the same time for cooperative validation of the product.

  • ALTRAN-NOKIA JOINT DEMONSTRATION ON ROLLING STOCK PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE

IOT and Analytics offer multiple opportunities to create business value from train connectivity. They also pose multiple challenges regarding the implementation of secure and scalable solutions. Combining their complementary expertise and R&D, ALTRAN and NOKIA have co-designed an end-to-end solution dedicated to rolling stock IOT use cases. To build an open, scalable and secure solution, we have selected core components coming from ALTRAN and NOKIA R&D: an embedded gateway, IOT platform and analytics engine. Taking benefit of ALTRAN proven experience on fleet management, we have developed a complete demonstrator of train door predictive maintenance. At INNOTRANS we will present the first version of this solution.
